A revelation about Oscar Torres, her unknown and once world-famous queer filmmaker cousin, sends Victoria down a path of self-discovery through reconstructions of his intimate memories living in the 1950s authoritarian Caribbean, as Victoria leads re-enactments of his unproduced screenplays with the family who erased him.
The New Orleans Film Festival is a part of a bigger project, The New Orleans Film Society. The Festival gathers around 500+ filmmakers from every corner of the world in attendance at more than 220 films. The NOFF sees its greatest impact in the exchange of ideas that occurs when over 35,000 people gather over the course of 8 days to champion film in New Orleans and engage with visionary films, directors, and other film lovers. The NOFF is one of the few film festivals that is Oscar-qualifying in all three Academy-accredited categories.
33rd edition of the NOFF is taking place from 3rd to 8th of November in person and is running till 13th November online.
It Runs in the Family is taking part in a Documentary Feature program.
