Yana Skopina was born in Almaty. After studying at a drama school, she graduated in advertising technologies from ort international college. Studied filmmaking with the director V.Fetisov, and continued these studies at VGIK with eminent masters S.Solovyov, V.Rubinchik and A.Khamraev, as well as at the Moscow State University of theater arts (workshop of T.Kurskaya). Teacher of filmmaking. Award winner in multiple film festivals.
