
TELESTO production company was founded in 2004. From that year, it has been focused on both festival and commercial cinema, creating high-quality films for the viewer. Feature film releases produced by the company are notable events in Russia's cinema distribution calendar. Apart from producing commercial films, TELESTO has successfully turned its hand to independent art films. The short film The Letter was awarded at many international festivals, and was selected for participation in the 60th annual Cannes Festival; The Pitch has been nominated and received awards at many international film festivals, including Tallinn, Bucharest, Zlin, Chicago, Milan, Palermo, Honfleur; Spitak won the Best Director Award at Moscow IFF and represented Armenia in the Best Foreign Language Film section of the 2019 Academy Awards. Other films by TELESTO have participated in, and won prizes at many Russian and International film festivals, including Cannes IFF, Berlin IFF, Tokyo IFF, Moscow IFF, Montreal IFF, Warsaw IFF, PÖFF, Shanghai IFF, Karlovy Vary, Cairo IFF, The Academy Awards, Golden Globes, APSA and many others.
